| Don't know about f-bodies, but on a C5 the motor itself is located up near the front of the vehicle on the driver's side. You should be able to simply following the "plumbing" from the headers back to the pump. I assume you have block off plates? And, you will need to remove/turn off the DTC codes or live with the check engine light.

the fbody pump is on the driver's side as well. Follow the lines and unbolt it and add block off plates if you want to remove it.

If you want the full benefit, you'll need to remove it and also get a new belt. Either plug the headers or get new ones.
They did away with the AIR setup on later model LS1s and LS2s.

it's easy, just take the hose off of the pump and pull it back. then just take the tubes off of the manifolds and pull it all out.
thanks everyone for the help.

visual enjoyment...
less noise when you start the car up (pumps begin to whine after a while)..
personal enjoyment knowing that you're breaking the law

it makes it a LOT easier when doing header work, coil pack work, intake work... just about everything easier. less shit to have to move around.
